South Central Preschool offers a warm and welcoming program that is committed to helping children and their families. It is our continued goal to offer the highest quality early childhood program that supports young children and their families for lifelong learning. We provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of their families. We respect and appreciate family diversity and values.
We use the Creative Curriculum, an award-winning, research-proven program that values creativity and builds the foundation for a lifetime of learning. We incorporate all areas of learning into our daily activities, which are centered on a weekly theme. Our program recognizes that all children can learn and acquire knowledge, primarily through playful interactions with materials and people. The South Central Preschool environment encourages creative exploration with a balance of child and adult initiated, age appropriate activities.
Step Up to Quality 5-Star
Our program has been awarded the highest Step Up to Quality rating - Five Stars. This rating reflects our commitment to providing young children with a high quality early learning experience that will prepare them for success. Our teachers have master’s degrees in early childhood education and extensive experience working with children and their families. They are required to complete 30 hours of Ohio Approved professional development training every two years, as well as being certified in First Aid, communicable disease, and child abuse. Our program is licensed to operate by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). The license and the most recent licensing inspection reports are posted in the classroom.
